Our Companion Care Volunteers call home bound patients or their caregivers each week to check on their needs prior to the weekend. At Halcyon Hospice we call this "tuck-in" calls. Volunteers can follow a phone script assisting them to identify patient needs such as medication refills, medical supplies, or equipment. As a tuck-in call volunteer, you'll contribute to a collaborative, proactive approach in caring for terminally ill patients and their families. After training and education, the calls may actually be made from your home or our office.]
Qualifying applicants must be 18 or older and able to pass a health screen, background check, and drug test. Please note that our volunteer opportunities require in-person completion of some training modules during the onboarding process. These requirements are to ensure the safety and privacy of our patients.
