Share Your Love of Music and Make a Difference!

Alpert Jewish Family Service is seeking a musician, music educator, or music enthusiast to share their talents with the individuals we serve at our Center for Belonging & Well Being.

Our participants are adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, each with unique personalities, interests, strengths, and abilities. While they may need support with certain aspects of daily living, they value independence, friendships, creativity, and meaningful experiences.

We are looking for someone who enjoys connecting with people and can bring music, laughter, and creativity into their lives.

Volunteer Activities May Include:

• Playing instruments and introducing different styles of music
• Singing, rhythm, and interactive group activities
• Teaching basic musical skills
• Encouraging creative expression and participation
• Organizing small performances or talent shows
• Sharing your own musical talents and ideas

We would especially welcome someone who plays multiple instruments and enjoys encouraging others to explore music in a fun, supportive environment.

Schedule

Flexible – Approximately 2 Hours Once a Month

We hope to establish a consistent monthly activity that allows participants and volunteers to build friendships and meaningful connections.

Who We're Looking For

Someone who is warm, patient, creative, dependable, and passionate about sharing music. Professional teaching experience is not required!

Music is more than entertainment. It's an opportunity to build confidence, encourage self-expression, create friendships, and bring joy to someone's day.
