Position Overview: The Funding & Resources Development Coordinator will play a critical role in strengthening the long-term sustainability and growth of Hi-Tech Charities. This volunteer will support the identification of funding opportunities, donor cultivation, grant writing, proposal development, and strategic relationship-building with corporate partners and sponsors.
Ideal candidates are strategic, persuasive, detail-oriented, and driven by the desire to make high-impact contributions. This role is well suited for professionals, retirees, or individuals with experience in fundraising, business development, nonprofit resource development, or philanthropy.
Key Responsibilities
- Funding Strategy & Research
- Identify new funding opportunities through foundations, corporations, government programs, and philanthropic networks.
- Develop and maintain a calendar of grant cycles, funding deadlines, and donor engagement activities.
- Conduct prospect research on donors, sponsors, and institutional funders.
- Grant Writing & Proposal Development
- Draft and prepare high-quality grant applications, letters of inquiry, and funding proposals.
- Assist in completing budget narratives, supporting documents, and compliance requirements.
- Work closely with program, operations, and clinical departments to gather needed program data.
- Donor & Sponsor Relationship Management
- Support the cultivation and stewardship of donors, partners, and community stakeholders.
- Help coordinate donor appreciation activities, sponsorship communications, and engagement updates.
- Maintain communication logs and ensure timely follow-up with funders.
- Corporate Partnerships & Resource Development
- Assist in creating and managing partnership proposals for corporate giving, sponsorships, and community engagement.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop fundraising campaigns and giving initiatives.
- Support development of materials such as brochures, presentations, and impact summaries.
- Reporting & Data Management
- Track funding submissions, deadlines, and follow-up activities.
- Assist in outcomes reporting, impact summaries, and grant compliance documentation.
- Maintain organized digital records of proposals, grant reports, funder requirements, and correspondence.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
- Strong communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in fundraising, sales, business development, nonprofit resource development, or philanthropy.
- Grant-writing experience is strongly preferred.
- Ability to build trust and communicate effectively with diverse partners.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, or CRM systems.
