Health Coverage Guide Volunteers play a vital role in helping community members understand and enroll in health coverage options, including Medicaid and Connect for Health Colorado. Volunteers serve as trusted advocates, providing culturally responsive support and education through outreach events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals and families with health coverage applications and renewals.
- Educate community members about available health insurance programs.
- Serve as a bridge to care for underserved populations, using bilingual skills when possible.
- Participate in outreach and enrollment events
Training Provided:
- Official Certification as a Health Coverage Guide (Connect for Health Colorado)
- Hands-on experience with health coverage systems and workflows
Ideal Candidate:
- Bilingual (Spanish/English preferred)
- Passionate about health equity and community service
- Willing to attend required training sessions and commit to outreach activities
