This position is to work with other volunteers to improve and maintain the pollinator garden at the TNC Tucson office site. It will include design suggestions, performing minor landscape adjustments that may include invasive plant removal and light effort replanting, reporting problems such as irrigation leaks.Potential for the position could grow to include phenology and iNaturalist reporting and could expand to larger areas of the property if desired by the team. Volunteer assistance is in support of The Nature Conservancy’s Tucson property sustainability components that include water harvesting, solar, native plants, composting, electric car charger, permeable parking, educational efforts. The original (and ongoing) intent of the pollinator garden is to honor the memory of a beloved staff member who was especially passionate about birds, butterflies, and wildlife.This position does not perform major landscape work as that is performed by a contracted landscape company.
