    About LandSeed

LandSeed is a non-profit committed to reimagining entry-level housing for future generations. Our goal is to create inclusive communities where homeownership is accessible for all, and everyone has the opportunity to build a stable, fulfilling future. At LandSeed, we create solutions for the Canadian housing crisis by collaborating with communities and industry partners to identify barriers and create real pathways to homeownership.

    Our Commitment:

We are driven to uplift those in housing ownership need, including first-time homebuyers, seniors, immigrants, single parents, environmentalists, veterans, and individuals with disabilities. Our vision is to pioneer data-driven designs and value structures for entry-level housing across Canada.

    Job Description:

LandSeed is building an AI-powered Development Intelligence system to transform how housing projects are planned, approved, and delivered. We are seeking an AI Development Intelligence Architect (Volunteer) to help design and implement AI systems that support smarter development decisions. This role focuses on turning real project experience into structured, reusable intelligence that can continuously improve how future projects are executed. At LandSeed, we believe that every project should make the next one smarter. You will play a key role in building the systems that make that possible.

    Roles & Responsibilities:

    1.Design the AI Architecture

    • Develop the framework for organizing project data, decisions, and documentation
    • Build knowledge systems across departments (planning, finance, project management, and community development)
    • Ensure AI tools are built on clean, structured, and scalable data foundations
    • Identify opportunities to standardize data collection and information flows across projects

    2.Build Decision Intelligence Systems

    • Create structured decision logs and documentation systems for development projects
    • Capture lessons learned and convert them into searchable institutional knowledge
    • Transform unstructured information (emails, reports, meeting notes, community feedback) into structured and usable datasets
    • Develop processes that allow teams to learn from past decisions and improve future outcomes

    3.Integrate AI Into Project Workflows

    • Connect AI tools with existing project management and development systems
    • Support risk tracking, approval forecasting, and milestone monitoring
    • Build dashboards and reporting tools that surface critical insights for decision-makers
    • Identify opportunities where AI can automate repetitive analysis and reporting tasks

4.Support the Tay Ridge Pilot Project

    • Use Tay Ridge, our pilot village development project, as the first intelligence dataset
    • Test, refine, and improve AI integration within a real development environment
    • Capture insights and feedback to improve the system before scaling it to future projects

    Required Skills and Qualifications

    Experience & Education

    • 1 - 2 years of experience in relevant area
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or relevant field

    Skillsets

    • Experience in AI development, data architecture, or machine learning systems
    • Strong ability to structure complex information into organized data systems
    • Experience working with data pipelines, APIs, or knowledge management systems
    • Interest in applying AI to real estate development, urban planning, or infrastructure projects
    • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and translate operational needs into technical solutions
