    Description

Help a refugee youth adjust to their new home in Chicago as a Young Adult Mentor!

Refugee resettlement agency is seeking mentors for refugee youth aged 16-24. Assist and encourage a newly arrived refugee in their transition to their new life in the United States! Mentors will meet with their mentees for four hours per month, or about an hour a week, for six months to work towards goals they've set for themselves. This can include supporting them as they enroll in English classes, get GED, apply to college, or something as simple being a friendly face they can talk to. You’ll receive training, support, and opportunities to learn more about the refugee experience. Orientations every 6-8 weeks- get started today!
