Description
Help us close the Literacy gap!!!
Nearly one million adults in Los Angeles face literacy or language barriers.
- No previous experience is required. Training will be provided.
- Teach a class or tutor an adult one-on-one to help adults improve their reading, writing, and speaking skills.
- Advise learners on study and life skills to encourage independent learning.
- Use our curriculum and resources to plan engaging tutoring sessions.
- Share information with learners about library services, programs, and use of resources.
- Stay in touch with staff members who offer ongoing coaching and support.
- Submit a monthly volunteer log to track your learner's progress.
