    Description

Lunova Volunteer Call: Are You Ready to Build the Future?

1 in 4 people around the world struggles with addiction at some point in their lives. Yet most remain alone, unable to reach the right support system.

Lunova set out to end this silent crisis. We are still in the 0→1 stage — building a product from scratch, shaping global teams (Kenya, Turkey) to create a technology-driven, holistic recovery platform for addiction.

But in doing so, we aim to be more than just a digital platform; we want to be a community-driven solidarity movement. The heart of this movement is our volunteers.

Now we invite you to join this journey.

    Who Are We Looking For?

    For Hybrid Volunteering in Istanbul:

Aged 20–25, living in Istanbul, open to weekly in-person meetings and digital collaboration. You are currently studying or have graduated from one of the following fields:

    • Medicine (psychiatry, family medicine, public health)
    • Law (criminal law, administrative law, human rights)
    • Psychology / Clinical Psychology / PDR (Guidance and Psychological Counseling)
    • Other disciplines: Social Work, Sociology, Nursing, Health Management, Biostatistics, Public Health, Communications, New Media, Graphic Design, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Entrepreneurship, Finance, HR, and more.
    • "What you bring is more important than which field you come from."*

For E-Volunteering (Anywhere in the World):

No age limit. Wherever you are — London, Berlin, Tokyo, or İzmir — full digital participation is possible.

There is no expertise preference or field requirement for e-volunteering. Anyone can apply.

    What Will You Do?

Your responsibilities will be shaped entirely by your interests and skills. The general framework:

    • Content creation (Turkish & languages of your choice): Turkish is our primary language for content, but together with you we are transforming it into a multilingual structure.
    • Team communication and coordination: International correspondence, documentation, meeting management.
    • Discipline-specific tasks: Direct contributions to the platform in your area of expertise.

We are currently in the software development stage. Unfortunately, we do not have a live software product at this time. With our hybrid team members — especially those focused on software and data — we will build this software. With our other volunteers, we will carry out activism efforts.

    Lunova Volunteering Levels

At Lunova, every volunteer progresses through the following levels at their own pace and according to their interests. This journey offers continuous development and a sense of belonging.

    1. Saplings – Beginners & First Step Team

Your first step at Lunova. You complete basic training, learn how the platform operates, and take an active role in simple tasks.

Roles: Sapling (learner), Spark (motivation source), Call (first contact)

    2. Guides – Mentor & Support Level

Volunteers who have completed basic training and provide direct support and guidance to clients and their families.

Roles: Guide (one who lights the way), Bridge (connects people to the right experts), Anchor (a calming and reassuring presence in difficult moments)

    3. Wizards – Expert & Proactive Team

Volunteers who contribute directly in areas such as technology, content, and project management with their professional skills.

Roles: Wizard (creative problem-solver), Genius (innovative ideas and projects), Captain (project manager, team coordinator)

    4. Sycamores – Leader & Strategy Level

Long-standing volunteers who manage teams, set strategy, and provide visionary contributions.

Roles: Sycamore (rooted, reliable, wise leader), Eagle (high-level strategy and vision), Legend (cornerstone, the story and legacy of Lunova)

    5. Lanterns – Special Achievement & Honor Level

An honorary title given to volunteers who have made extraordinary performance, sacrifice, or transformative contributions.

Roles: Star (outstanding performance and energy), North Star (always shows the right direction)

Progress between levels is based on criteria such as completed trainings, number of clients supported, project contributions, mentoring other volunteers, and innovative ideas and solutions.

    What Will You Gain?

Volunteering at Lunova is not about salary or financial expectations; it is a journey of building something together on a purely voluntary basis.

    What we offer you:

    • Hands-on experience in a real startup environment
    • Global collaboration with teams in Kenya and Turkey
    • The chance to be part of a multilingual team
    • Not just a portfolio, but a story to tell
    • The feeling of being part of a social responsibility and touching lives

In addition, Lunova offers our volunteers a comprehensive internal training ecosystem:

    • Structured, certified training programs
    • Peer learning groups
    • Supervision and feedback
    • Expert talks and discussions
    • Digital library (articles, videos, guides, case studies)

What Does It Mean to Work With Us?

No ego, no titles, no excuses. What matters: doing, speaking transparently, learning by doing.

Not perfection, but commitment. We are looking for someone who isn't afraid to make mistakes and is ready to move forward honestly.

We think globally, but language choice is yours. Content can be produced in Turkish and any language the team is comfortable with.

(For hybrid team members in Istanbul: 7/24 workspace at BTM Istanbul Fulya office and shuttle service from Şişli Cevahir.)

    Applying Is Very Simple

You don't have to make anything "perfect." Just make us feel why you want to be here.

All details (task distribution, training schedule, level system, ethical rules, etc.) will be shared privately with applicants.

    Don't Forget

This call is not for everyone.

But if you feel inside "I have to be part of this", if you are eager to build something global from scratch, and if you are not afraid to start — we are waiting for you.

"Recovery is possible, and with the right technology combined with the right support, no one has to walk this path alone."
