Hospice volunteering is less about “doing tasks” and more about being human on purpose 💛 Here’s what it actually looks like with Providence Home Health and Hospice LLC:

🫶 Patient Visits (the heart of it)

Sit, talk, listen, play music, read, or just keep someone company. Visits are usually about an hour a week—simple moments that mean everything.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Caregiver Support

Give family members a break to run errands, nap, or breathe. You’re the calm presence that lets them reset.

🎖️ Veteran-to-Veteran Visits

Connect with patients who served—share stories, attend pinning ceremonies, and honor their legacy.

📞 Tuck-In Calls

Quick weekly check-in calls to patients or families before the weekend—making sure they feel supported and not forgotten.

🎂 Special Projects

Help celebrate birthdays, create memory/legacy projects, deliver small gifts, or brighten a room with decorations.

✂️ Remote Opportunities (great for kids & groups)

Make cards, write letters, or create small comfort items from home—perfect for younger volunteers or busy schedules.
