    Description

    The Addiction Science Defense Network (ASDN) housed within the National Prevention Science Coalition is seeking a dedicated volunteer to provide essential administrative support to our network. If you are passionate about making a difference in the field of addiction science and advocacy, and you excel at organization and communication, we encourage you to apply!     As an Administrative Support Volunteer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our network. You will assist with scheduling virtual meetings, help manage communications, and contribute to the effectiveness of our mission to advance evidence-based approaches and defend sound addiction science.

    We anticipate the volunteer would work from 4-6 hours per week from home.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist with scheduling virtual meetings and coordinating calendars
    • Taking notes at meetings
    • Prepare, organize, and maintain digital and physical files
    • Draft and proofread correspondence and documents
    • Post on social media and news outlets
    • Support and track communication efforts with partners and stakeholders
    • Help organize events and webinars
    • Assist with data entry

    Qualifications:

    • A rising college senior, In graduate school, or a post-doc
    • Interest in and some familiarity with substance use research
    • Self-motivated, organized, reliable, and industrious
    • Personable and a team player
    • Good communication skills
    • Proficiency with AI, social media, and software programs such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Zoom, and search engines
