    Description

Peace Through Action® USA is pleased to announce volunteer opportunities for everyday people who want to do something to increase peace in their relationships and communities, and our country.

We invite you to consider the meet-ups activity leader opportunity. These volunteers organize and run Peace Through Action Meet-Ups. These are small group gatherings where participants have a structured conversation that leads up to participants generating personal action plans for peace.

Our meet-ups are easy to lead. You don’t need to be a subject expert in anything. And, you don’t have to have experience leading small groups. We provide your choice of script or talking points for you to present. And, it’s up to you who you invite to the meet-up, and when and where it will happen.

The Peace Through Action meet-ups activity leader organizes and runs their gathering. The leader decides who they want to invite to their meet-up and where and when it will take place.

Using a resource prepared by Peace Through Action®, the leader guides participants through a structured step-by-step conversation. Participants accumulate insights about themselves. They enter that information into ChatGPT. (ChatGPT is an artificial intelligence chatbot.) The query result generated is the participant’s personal action plan for peace.

We welcome everyone who desires greater peace to volunteer with us. People in every part of the country can volunteer through us; our opportunities are not restricted by area.

We encourage people with lived experiences as survivors of violence and residents of communities at increased risk of violence to volunteer through us. Also, we invite people who belong to identity groups that have been historically underrepresented in volunteering to partner with us. This includes people who identify as Black, Indigenous, or a Person of Color, people who identify as LGBTQIA+, people with disabilities, people living in rural and Tribal areas, people experiencing or having experienced poverty, neighbors returning from incarceration, and newly arrived neighbors.

We encourage alums of AmeriCorps, Peace Corps, and other national service programs, U.S. veterans, and people with public service experience to continue their service as a Peace Through Action® USA volunteer.
