About The Activism Network

The Activism Network (TAN) is a nonprofit organization working to end needless suffering, address urgent crises and systemic issues, and promote human rights, dignity, and equity for all.

We work across a range of causes, including environmental protection, social justice, human rights, political reform, and other areas outlined in our Declaration of Virtues.

About the Role

We're looking for a Volunteer Researcher to identify organizations whose work aligns with TAN's virtues and that could be potential partners or collaborators.

Responsibilities

• Research organizations working in areas relevant to TAN's virtues.
• Compile at least 5–10 new organizations each week.
• Record each organization's name, website, mission, and contact information.
• Find a direct email address whenever possible, or an official contact page.
• Keep findings organized and avoid duplicate entries.

TAN's leadership will handle initial outreach, allowing you to focus on research and identifying promising connections.

Qualifications

• Interest in nonprofit work, advocacy, or social change.
• Strong online research and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and communicate findings clearly.
• volunteers must have and use a Discord account

Previous experience is welcome but not required!

Future Opportunities

As TAN grows, this role may expand into a research team, with opportunities to coordinate researchers and eventually handle outreach and partnership development.
