    Description

Teach Knitting or Crocheting (One-on-One Mentorship)

We are looking for a kind, patient volunteer who would enjoy teaching a woman with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) how to knit or crochet. Learning this skill is one of her personal goals for 2026, and she is excited to get started with the right support.

She is warm, very sweet, and a little shy at first. With gentle encouragement and a supportive teacher, she blossoms and takes pride in learning new skills. This opportunity is a wonderful chance to build a meaningful connection while helping someone work toward a goal she has chosen for herself.

The time commitment and frequency are flexible and can be arranged based on the volunteer’s availability and preferences. Whether you’re an experienced knitter or crocheter or simply enjoy sharing your skills with others, your time and patience can make a meaningful impact.

If you enjoy crafting, mentoring, and making a difference one stitch at a time, we would love to hear from you.
