    Executive Leadership: Membership Director (Remote | National Impact)

    Are you a community builder, strategic thinker, or student leader passionate about empowering the African diaspora? The National African Student Association (NAfSA) is looking for a Membership Development Director to champion our growth! In this executive-level volunteer role, you won't just keep track of data—you will design the onboarding experiences, retention programs, and strategic initiatives that unite over 60+ university chapters and 4,000+ members nationwide. If you want to put a massive capstone project on your resume while shaping the future of African student networks globally, we want to hear from you.

    What You’ll Do (Responsibilities):

    • Shape Strategy: Develop and execute high-impact national strategies to recruit and onboard new chapters and retain our vibrant member base.
    • Lead & Empower: Coordinate directly with the National Executive Board (NEB) and Communications team to ensure local student voices are elevated.
    • Manage Programs: Oversee the membership lifecycle, mentoring program leads to keep engagement high and active.

    What We Are Looking For (Qualifications):

    • Strong background or active interest in organizational leadership, communications, human resources, or community management.
    • An organized, empathetic communicator who understands or is eager to learn about the unique needs of African students in the diaspora.
    • Ability to commit 5–7 hours a week remotely.
