    Description

Zumba/Bailoterapia Instructor Needed for Saturday Morning Community Events

Hi! We are AID FOR LIFE, an NYC-based organization focused on providing support and community to latin migrants who recently arrived in New York. Every Saturday morning we host community events in the Lower East Side where we provide hot meals, clothing, free legal aid, job development opportunities, and wellness activities. Our weekly events serve around 80-150 people every Saturday morning.

We're looking for an energetic Zumba/Bailoterapia instructor to lead a 45-minute dance fitness session as part of our Saturday programming. This is a chance to bring joy, movement, and community connection to families navigating a new life in New York.

    What we provide:

    • A beautiful outdoor space surrounded by trees (fresh during summer)
    • Lunch and refreshments
    • Speaker for the music
    • Feature/publicity across social media (@aidforlife)
    • 12-15 students per session (as many as you feel comfortable with)
    • A welcoming, appreciative community <3

    Requirements:

    • Experience leading Zumba, bailoterapia, or similar dance fitness classes
    • Comfortable working with diverse groups and varying fitness levels
    • Preferably bilingual or conversational in Spanish (most participants are Spanish-speaking)
    • Available at least 1-2 Saturday mornings per month
    • Ability to create an inclusive, fun environment that encourages participation

Time commitment: 1 to 2 Saturday mornings a month until the end of summer, 45-minute per session.

This class will be about building community, boosting mental health, and creating moments of joy for people adjusting to a new country. If you love moving people (literally and figuratively), we'd love to hear from you!
