    Description

Health Matters Clinic is seeking a Community Engagement Manager to lead our communications and engagement strategy. From newsletters and social posts to SMS reminders and storytelling, you’ll be the voice that keeps our clients, volunteers, donors, and supporters inspired and connected to our mission of Helping & Healing.

This isn’t a solo role - you’ll also be responsible for building and leading a small engagement team, ensuring each audience receives the right communication style and attention.

    Your role will include:

    • Creating and sending newsletters and SMS campaigns
    • Managing social media and highlighting impact stories
    • Developing content calendars that align with events and programs
    • Capturing and amplifying stories from clients, volunteers, and community events
    • Tracking engagement metrics (open rates, clicks, social growth)
    • Recruiting and mentoring engagement volunteers focused on specific audiences:
      • Client/Community Engagement Lead → keeps participants engaged (SMS, newsletters, resources, reminders)
      • Volunteer Engagement Lead → manages volunteer comms (orientation follow-up, shift reminders, spotlights)
      • Donor/Sponsor Engagement Lead → manages donor/sponsor comms (thank-yous, reports, shout-outs, impact highlights)

    What we’re looking for:

    • Strong copywriting and storytelling skills
    • Eye for design (Canva or similar)
    • Experience with email/newsletter platforms and social media management
    • Comfortable with SMS and community engagement tools (e.g., Twilio)
    • Organized, detail-oriented, and creative
    • Leadership or team-building experience preferred
    • Able to commit 5-7 hrs/week for at least 1 year
    • Passion for building community through communications

    Impact:

As Community Engagement Manager, you’ll ensure thousands of people - clients, volunteers, and donors - feel connected to Helping & Healing. You’ll shape how HMC engages with the community, while building and mentoring a team that ensures no audience is left behind.
