Remote volunteers can choose from a variety of flexible, task-based roles:
- Listings & Sales Support: Write Craigslist and online listings for salvaged items using photos and basic details
- Contractor Outreach: Research and identify local contractors and draft outreach messages to encourage material donations
- Content Creation: Develop captions, simple graphics, and social media content (submitted for review; no account access required)
- Research & Admin Support: Help identify partnerships, organize information, and build simple tracking systems
- Creative Projects: Contribute ideas for reuse, storytelling, and showcasing salvaged materials
- Individualized projects: Have an idea? Pitch it!
All work is submitted to the ReCONN team for review—we handle final posting and communications.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong written communication skills (clear, concise, engaging)
- Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
- Interest in sustainability, reuse, DIY, or community-based work
- Basic familiarity with Google Docs/Drive (or willingness to learn)
- Creative thinkers, organized minds, and self-starters welcome
No prior experience required—just reliability and a willingness to contribute.
Time Commitment
- Flexible and asynchronous
- Contribute as little or as much as your schedule allows
- Tasks are designed to be completed in short, manageable blocks of time
