We are a food bank that serves North Seattle nieghbors!
We depend on our volunteers and love to make meaningful and fun connections with each other and the community we serve.
Come help us to build a community that dosen't experience hunger!
Mission Statement
The University District Food Bank's mission is to build a hunger-free Northeast Seattle by providing our neighbors with reliable access to healthy food and life-changing resources.
Description
This important resource helps folks in our nieghborhood make ends meet and provides food over 1500 familes each week. We have a vibrant connection of volunteers, staff and neighbors helping to make sure everyone has access to the food and resources they need.
With the help of over 400 volunteers, we distribute about 3 million pounds of food to families in Northeast Seattle.
Apply to join us today at www.udistrictfoodbank.org/getinvolved ! After applying you will recieve a welcome email with steps for a self-paced orientation that you can complete on your own time.
Schedules are also self-managed and we have shifts from Monday-Saturday.

How to Volunteer for This Opportunity
We have a online volunteer application that can be accessed at https://www.udistrictfoodbank.org/getinvolved/ .
It is a brief application, and you will be sent an automatic email with onboarding instructions to get started.
Onboarding takes about an hour and half total and you will set up a volunteer account and view our schedule. You are welcome to sign up for shifts that work with your schedule! We have no hours requirement each week.
