    Description

    Location: Remote (anywhere in the U.S.) though a connection to Pennsylvania or Ohio is preferred

    Time Commitment: (4-6 hours per month) Bi-monthly board meetings plus additional time for committee work and organizational initiatives.

    About The Big Puddle: The Big Puddle is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Our mission is to provide resources and support to people living with disabilities, homelessness, those who are medically fragile, or experiencing mental health challenges. Through partnerships with home and community-based service providers, we bridge gaps in equitable care by providing funding and support for services that are currently out of reach including daily living skills, assistive technology, employment services, mental health programs, companion hospital support, and mentoring programs.

    About the Role: We're seeking dedicated and engaged board members who are ready to actively contribute to our mission through event planning, community organizing, community support, and fundraising efforts.

    Responsibilities:

    • Attend bi-monthly board meetings
    • Participate actively in organizational governance and strategic planning
    • Support fundraising initiatives and donor cultivation
    • Assist with event planning and execution
    • Engage in community organizing efforts
    • Contribute expertise and connections to advance our mission

    Qualifications:

    • Passion for our mission and commitment to community service
    • Experience or interest in nonprofit governance, fundraising, event planning, or community engagement
    • Ability to commit time and energy to board responsibilities
    • Strong collaborative and communication skills
