    Description

Do you love baking and believe something made with care can make someone feel cared for?

The Gracefull Table Community Kitchen is seeking cottage bakers in Garland and surrounding communities who would like to donate their time, talent, and baked goods to support our community meal events.

We provide free, freshly prepared meals and restaurant-style hospitality to people experiencing food insecurity and neighbors in need. Our guests deserve a welcoming table, a wonderful meal, and the thoughtful touches that make dining feel special. Fresh bread alongside dinner or a delicious dessert can be part of that experience.

    WHAT YOU’LL DO

    • Prepare and donate agreed-upon baked goods for scheduled community meals and events.

    • Coordinate with our team beforehand to confirm the item, quantity, portion size, and delivery arrangements.

    • Provide ingredient and allergen information with your donation.

    • Package items securely so they arrive fresh and ready for service.

    WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We welcome cottage bakers who make shelf-stable items such as breads, dinner rolls, cookies, brownies, and other desserts that do not require refrigeration for safety. Specific recipes and items will be reviewed with our team before an event.

Bakers should follow applicable Texas cottage food requirements and have completed accredited food-handler training.

A FLEXIBLE WAY TO GIVE BACK

You may contribute to one event, occasionally, or on a recurring basis. We’ll work together to find a quantity and schedule that fit your capacity. You do not need to provide enough for an entire event to make a meaningful contribution.

This opportunity involves donating your baking time, ingredients, and finished goods. Baking takes place in your own kitchen, with delivery arrangements coordinated in Garland.

Whether your specialty is a beautiful loaf of bread or the cookies everyone asks you to bring, your talent can help us make our neighbors feel welcome, valued, and cared for.
