About Us
Virtual Hospitals Africa a nonprofit based in South Africa working to expand access to quality healthcare across the African continent by connecting the public health care system through a cloud based medical records system.
The Project
We're producing a marketing video (approximately 2–3 minutes) that tells the story of our mission, the communities we serve, and the impact of our work. The final video will be used across our website, social media, donor communications, and partnership outreach.
What You'll Do
- Edit provided footage (interviews, clinical b-roll, on-the-ground community footage) into a polished, emotionally resonant short film
- Collaborate with our team on narrative arc, pacing, and key messaging
- Incorporate motion graphics, lower-thirds, captions, and our brand identity
- Source or edit music and sound design appropriate for an international healthcare audience
- Deliver final video in multiple formats and aspect ratios (16:9, 9:16, 1:1) for web, social, and broadcast use
What We're Looking For
- 1+ year of professional video editing experience, with a portfolio that includes documentary, nonprofit, or mission-driven work
- Strong storytelling instincts — you can find the heart of a story in raw footage
- Color grading and audio mixing skills
- Sensitivity to cross-cultural storytelling; experience working on Africa-focused or global health content is a strong plus
- Reliable communication and ability to meet deadlines while working remotely
Virtual Hospitals Africa is committed to building a diverse team and strongly encourages applications from candidates of all backgrounds, particularly those with lived experience in or strong ties to the African continent.
