HEELO, Inc. Juneteenth Jubilee Luncheon

H.E.E.L.O Inc. coordinates the annual Juneteenth celebration in Hutchinson, KS. Juneteenth National Independence Day commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African-Americans, and also celebrates African-American culture.

Duties:

Check-In volunteers-check in people coming to the breakfast and hair show

Table Guest Escorts-take people from check-in to their seats

Servers-serve food on the buffet line

Set Up-Set tables with linen and table decorations

Clean up-remove linens and all table decorations, remove trash, cover and place leftover food in kitchen area

Raffle Ticket Table-Taking and selling raffle tickets.

Qualifications:

Runners that need to stand for a long period of time and move around. Good communication and social skills. Willing to engage with the community. All volunteers must have customer service experience, a friendly personality and enjoy working with the community and enjoy having fun. When lunch starts and everyone is checked in and served, volunteers are welcome to have lunch as there will be a volunteer table set up for lunch.

Check-In 12 p.m.-1 p.m.

Greeters/Table Guest Escorts 12 p.m.-1 p.m.

Food Servers 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

Raffle Ticket Table 1-3:30 p.m./Clean Up 3:30-4:30 p.m.
