Volunteer Meal Maker for a Foster Family

Haven Retreats, Inc, is a nonprofit located in Jacksonville, FL. We exist to create sustainability for foster and adoptive families by providing therapeutic retreats for caregivers, as well as biological children in the home. We also provide wraparound care for our families, which includes meals, lawn care, housecleaning, etc.

The families SO appreciate any meals brought to them, as it lifts an everyday burden, so they can have some time to focus on the children.

We have families that reside in the Tallahassee area, and I try to match volunteers with a family located closer to them, to decrease the drive time. It's great if volunteers can commit to bringing a meal 1-2x/month, but even a one-time drop-off is SO appreciated!
