I Am Teen Strong is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting, empowering, and uplifting teen girls through accessible online resources, community outreach, and confidence-building programs. Our mission is to help teens build resilience, self-worth, and strength during some of the most critical years of their lives.
Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Volunteer Grant Writer to help expand our impact by securing funding through community, foundation, and state-wide grants. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys research, storytelling, and making a meaningful difference through words.
Key Responsibilities
- Research community, foundation, corporate, and state-wide grant opportunities aligned with our mission
- Identify grant deadlines, eligibility requirements, and funding priorities
- Write clear, compelling, and mission-driven grant proposals and narratives
- Collaborate with our leadership team to gather program data, budgets, and impact stories
- Track submissions, deadlines, and outcomes
- Help build a sustainable grants calendar and funding strategy
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with grant research and/or grant writing (volunteer or professional)
- Strong writing, editing, and research skills
- Ability to translate impact and mission into compelling narratives
- Organized, self-motivated, and able to meet deadlines
- Passion for youth empowerment, mental health, education, or nonprofit work
- Familiarity with Arizona grants
