Position Overview
The Office Space Maintenance volunteer helps ensure that REVEL's facility is clean, safe, welcoming, and functional for the participants, staff, and visitors who walk through our doors every day. This is a hands-on, in-person role perfect for someone who takes pride in a well-kept space and wants to contribute to a community where everyone feels comfortable and at home.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning and tidying of common areas, program rooms, restrooms, and entryways
- Organize and restock supplies, materials, and equipment used in daily programming
- Identify and report maintenance needs, safety concerns, or repair issues to staff
- Assist with furniture arrangement and room setup for events, classes, or program activities
- Help maintain an organized, clutter-free environment that supports focus and comfort for neurodiverse participants
- Support seasonal deep-cleaning, donation sorting, or facility improvement projects as needed
Qualifications
- Reliable, punctual, and takes initiative without needing constant direction
- Comfortable with physical tasks such as lifting, moving furniture, sweeping, and organizing
- Respectful and warm in demeanor — this role involves being present in a space shared with neurodiverse participants and staff
- No prior experience required; a positive attitude and strong work ethic are what matter most
- Familiarity with basic maintenance or janitorial tasks is a plus
