Volunteers are needed to serve up some fall fun every weekend in October!
Available Shifts:
Fridays 4:30-9:00pm
Saturdays 9:30am-1:00pm or 12:45pm-4:00pm
Sundays 9:30am-1:00pm or 12:45pm-4:00pm
Fall Festival Volunteer Position Descriptions
Barn Floater
Monitor activity in and around the barns. Watch for and report any problems or safety concerns. Assist guests with questions and help direct them as needed.
Horse Barn - Pony Area
Hold and assist with ponies so guests may safely interact with them. Change ponies out as needed and continuously monitor the safety and welfare of both the ponies and guests.
Horse Barn - Rabbit Circle
Carry rabbits to and from their housing and the Rabbit Circle. Supervise guest interactions with the rabbits and monitor the safety and welfare of both the rabbits and guests.
Poultry Barn
Provide guests with general information about the poultry. Monitor guest interactions and help ensure the safety and welfare of both the poultry and guests.
Chicken Coop
Supervises guest interactions with the chickens. Monitor the area to ensure the safety and welfare of both the chickens and guests.
Kids Play Zone
Supervise activity in the Kids Play Zone. Monitor guest safety, help maintain an orderly area, and immediately report any safety concerns.
Cornfield Quest Entrance
Welcome guests and explain how to participate in the Cornfield Quest. Provide instructions and monitor the entrance and surrounding area for guest safety.
Pumpkin Picking Patch
Assist guests in the pumpkin patch, help with questions, return carts to the appropriate area, and monitor the patch for guest safety.
Wagon Guide
Assist guests as they get on and off the wagon and provide important safety instructions. Ride on the wagon with guests and use the provided microphone and speaker to share scripted information about the farm throughout the ride.
Store & Kitchen Support
Provide support wherever needed in the store and kitchen areas. Duties may include serving guest orders, scooping ice cream, stocking supplies, cleaning, and helping keep service areas organized.
Visitor Center Floater
Provide relief for volunteers in other areas during break times. Monitor activities throughout the Visitor Center and surrounding areas, report any safety concerns, answer guest questions, and help clean or organize areas as needed.

In order to become a volunteer, please follow these instructions:
1- Fill out the proper application (adult or minor). Please note we do not allow for court-ordered community service at this time.

- Minors under 14 must fill out the Minor Waiver and be accompanied/chaperoned by an adult who has a valid Adult application, waiver and background check on file.
2- Complete and pass a background check (adults 18+ only).
Our Parks Commission has directed us to perform background checks that include a search of these 3 areas:
- Nationwide Criminal Database
- Social Security Address Trace
- Nationwide Sex Offender Registry
This step is intended to provide for the safety and security of Park patrons, other volunteers and staff at our recreation programs and operations.
