    Description

Sort and Pack Healthy Food for Others

Join us Thursdays to help sort rescued foods and on Wednesdays to help sort as well as "shop" for and pack our weekly boxes of healthy meals and fresh groceries for families. The meals we include in the boxes are all prepared in our on site commercial kitchen from nutritious food that has been rescued from local grocery stores and farms.

We started our distribution program in 2020 when many seniors, veterans, and families in need of food assistance could not travel to pick up food due to the risk of covid-19 and other obstacles. Unfortunately, many barriers to receiving food assistance still exist. Transportation, for example, remains a significant reason why many people in our community do not receive the help they need. This program has grown to serve an average of 300 people per week!
