    Description

Join Methodist Hospice and Family Care in providing comfort to hospice patients and families!

Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back? Hospice volunteers bring compassion, comfort, and support to patients and families as they approach the end of life. Hospice volunteers play a pivotal role in our patients' hospice journeys as they are sources of companionship, conversation, and emotional support.

What are some specific ways that hospice volunteers provide support?

    • Provide companionship (tell/listen to stories, play games, read to patients, play music for/listen to music with patients, art projects with patients, etc.)
    • Assist with some light house tasks for patients
    • Help patients make memory/legacy items for their families (write letters, make videos, art mementos, scrapbook, etc.)
    • Simply be a supportive presence for patients
