    Description

Catholic Hospice is seeking compassionate and professionally trained End-of-Life Doulas to volunteer their services in supporting patients and families throughout Miami-Dade and Broward Counties.

⚠️ Please Note: This opportunity is strictly for trained or certified End-of-Life Doulas. Certification of end-of-life doula program is required.

End-of-Life Doulas provide non-medical, holistic support to individuals in their final stage of life. Through presence, guidance, comfort measures, legacy work, emotional support, and family education, doulas help create a peaceful and meaningful experience for both patients and their loved ones.

Volunteer visits are available 7 days a week between 9:00 AM and 9:00 PM, in private homes, assisted living communities, nursing homes, and medical centers.

As a Volunteer End-of-Life Doula, you will:

    • Offer compassionate bedside presence and emotional support
    • Assist with legacy projects, vigil planning, and comfort-focused care
    • Support families during anticipatory grief and transition
    • Collaborate respectfully with the interdisciplinary hospice team
    • Receive hospice-specific orientation and ongoing support
    • Have flexible scheduling opportunities

    Requirements (Trained/Certified End-of-Life Doulas Only)

    To be considered, you must:

    • Provide proof of completion of End-of-Life Doula training or certification program
    • Complete a background screening and drug screening (covered by Catholic Hospice)
    • Provide a valid driver’s license or identification
    • Provide proof of car insurance (if applicable)

⚠️ Only trained or certified End-of-Life Doulas will be eligible for placement.

If you are a trained End-of-Life Doula with a heart for service and a calling to walk alongside individuals and families during life’s most sacred moments, we would be honored to welcome you to Catholic Hospice.
