Description
The Communications Coordinator plays a key role in promoting Special Olympics Montana programs, events and athlete stories within the region named the Big Sky Area. This volunteer supports outreach effort by managing local communications, social media, and public relations to raise awareness and engagement and would share the role with another local Communications Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and share content for newsletters, social media, and local media outlets
- Coordinate with regional staff and volunteers to gather stories, photos, and event updates
- Maintain consistent and positive Special Olympics brand voice across all communications
- Assist with event promotion and coverage
Support & Training:
New coordinator orientation and ongoing training provided by SOMT Outreach and Marketing Communications staff.
