L.O.V.E. Volunteer Mentor: Female Identifying College Students Needed to help Mentor Young Girls Across NYC!

Did you ever wish you had a mentor who provided you with additional guidance when you were in middle school or high school?

Latinas On the Verge of Excellence (L.O.V.E.) Mentoring is a non-profit organization that supports and empowers young Latinas and other young women of diverse backgrounds to strive for success, both in school and in life, through mentorship and health interventions targeted at mental health, reproductive health, as well as college access and career readiness. Founded in 2012, L.O.V.E. serves as a preventative program that supports young women to believe in themselves and their self-worth.

L.O.V.E. Mentoring is recruiting female-identifying university students and recent alumni to serve as volunteer mentors in partnered L.O.V.E. schools during the 2026-2027 academic year to help young female students thrive. We provide mentees with a safe space to engage in socio-emotional learning and guidance from mentors and teachers who come from similar backgrounds and share similar experiences. Our mentorship program is delivered in 32 weeks from September to June in NYC Public and Charter schools. The commitment is 1 hour per week at a partner school of your choice! We partner with schools all across NYC, specifically in Manhattan, Queens, The Bronx & Brooklyn.
