Offered by CURE in partnership with Older Adults Technology Services (OATS) from AARP, the Senior Planet program provides free, in-person technology sessions to adults ages 60+ at locations throughout Northwest Indiana*.
Trainer Requirements:
In order to become a Senior Planet trainer, you would need to attend a training series, which is held once each quarter and consists of one 90-minute Zoom session per week for five weeks and 1-3 hours of online, self-paced “homework.” The deadline to submit your registration is April 3.

*Senior Planet sessions are currently run in-person on a regular basis at these community locations in Lake County: Crown Point Community Library, Hammond Senior Center at Pulaski Park, Hobart’s Maria Reiner Center, Merrillville Branch Library, Munster Branch Library, St. John Branch Library, and Whiting City Hall Senior Group. We also run sessions at the following locations in Porter County: Valparaiso Banta Center and Chesterton Duneland YMCA.
