Volunteer - Connecting Event - For Children/Youth in Foster Care

Description
We need volunteers for our February connecting event at Warrior Challenge Arena in Broomfield. Connecting events are free drop off events for children/youth who have experienced foster care, including siblings that are separated in their placements. It is an opportunity to connect with one another, be kids, and be part of the EC community. We will be doing group athletic challenges and playing team-building games. We are meeting at the Warrior Challenge Arena on Saturday, February 21st at 9:45am. The event will last until 12:00pm. The event is for youth ages 6-16, Lunch will be provided.
Volunteer duties include supervision of the kids (making sure they are safe), participating in the activities with them, and helping to set up/clean up before and after the event. We love our volunteers!

Thank you so much for your interest in becoming an Elevating Connections volunteer! We cannot do any of the important work that we do without our volunteer family. After submitting your information on Idealist, these are the next steps in becoming an EC volunteer:
- An EC staff member will reach out to you in 24-72 hours to provide you with our volunteer application link. It is a pretty quick application.
- Once we receive your completed application, we will review it.
- We will reach out to schedule a virtual interview. This is an opportunity to learn more about you, answer any questions you may have, and tell you about our programs and volunteer opportunities. The virtual interview usually takes 20-30 minutes.
- After the interview, you will be asked to complete a background check and review some training materials before you volunteer for your first event.
