    Description

    Summary of position:

    The Kits Event Volunteer will work alongside the Director of Kits Programs to lead Kits for Kids events around the country. The Events Coordinator will be trained to lead Kits for Kids packing events with organizations sponsoring kit packing. This role requires a high degree of organization, attention to detail, self-motivation, professionalism, and comfort and ability with public speaking. Events will include coordination with event hosts, assembly line set-up, giving a presentation about Project C.U.R.E., facilitating kit packing, and event take-down.

    Work Locations: Volunteers must be based near one of our warehouses in Chicago, Denver, Houston, Kansas City, Nashville, Philadelphia, or Phoenix. Ability to travel within the domestic United States is preferred.

    Responsibilities and Duties:

    • Prepare supplies and materials for Kits events
    • Ability to travel within the domestic U.S. for events is highly preferred.
    • Follow Project C.U.R.E. processes for event set-ups
    • Host Kits for Kids packing events, including event set-up, facilitating the activity, giving a presentation, and event take-down.
    • Present the work of Project C.U.R.E. to event volunteers; comfort with giving presentations is required.
    • Always maintain a clean and safe work environment.
    • Report any injuries, accidents, or potentially hazardous situations immediately to the supervisor. If a direct supervisor is not immediately available, report to any Project C.U.R.E. staff member.

    Qualifications:

    • Ability to attend full-day training with the Director of Kits Programs.
    • Strong leadership and people skills, comfort with public speaking.
    • Basic knowledge of computers and email technology.
    • Willingness and ability to travel within the domestic U.S.
    • Willingness and ability to work with and train event volunteers.
    • Excellent customer service skills.
    • Attention to detail is essential.

    Hours: Variable, dependent on Kits Events schedule. Recommended commitment of 4 Events per year to maintain skill level
