Black Girl Joy is a Black woman led nonprofit dedicated to centering rest, wellness, and joy as a birthright for Black women. Through nature based gatherings, creative experiences, and community care, we create spaces where Black women can breathe, soften, and be held in community.
We are seeking a Meditation Guide in Training who would like to gain real world experience guiding meditations while supporting a community centered wellness organization.
This role is ideal for someone who is: Completing or recently completed a meditation, mindfulness, or spiritual guidance training program
Looking for practice leading small groups in a supportive environment
Comfortable guiding gentle, trauma aware meditations
What You Will Do
Guide short meditations during Black Girl Joy events, virtual sessions, or small group gatherings
Support grounding, breathwork, or visualization practices aligned with each gathering’s theme
Collaborate with leadership to ensure meditations support rest, safety, and connection
Receive feedback and grow your facilitation skills in a supportive, non judgmental space

Someone in training or early in their meditation or mindfulness journey
A calm, grounded, emotionally aware presence
Respect for Black women centered healing spaces
Openness to feedback and growth
Time Commitment
Flexible and event based
Typically one to two sessions per month
