About the Opportunity: Seeking a motivated volunteer to help increase visibility, readership and distribution of:
China's Secret Strategy: How China's Rise Costs America
The book explores China's economic rise and its implications for the United States & India, including geopolitics, trade, technology and the chip war, human rights, poverty and development, the New Cold War, and food and drug safety.
These issues align closely with our interest in global economic and policy awareness. A portion of proceeds from book sales supports nonprofit programs.
What You'll Do: The primary focus is online visibility and book marketing, particularly:
- Create and promote engaging content on LinkedIn and other social-media platforms.
- Build online audiences and engagement around the book and its ideas.
- Identify and pursue opportunities with podcasts, YouTube channels, talk shows, TV, radio and other media.
- Connect with book fairs, literary festivals, conferences and public events.
- Reach out to libraries, universities, bookstores and relevant institutions.
- Seek reviews, interviews, speaking opportunities and other forms of visibility.
- Explore creative ways to increase readership, distribution and book sales.
- Track results and identify promising new opportunities.
Who We Are Looking For = Someone with experience or interest in:
- Social media and LinkedIn marketing
- Digital marketing and communications
- Book marketing or publishing
- Media, podcast or influencer outreach
- Public relations or audience development
- Event promotion or business development
Creativity, strong communication skills, initiative and persistence are more important than formal qualifications.
Candidates may be based in the U.S., India, or elsewhere; the initial outreach focus is the U.S.
Time Commitment: Flexible, approximately 5–20 hours per week.
Unpaid volunteer opportunity.
