    Description

    Defenna Foundation is seeking passionate and creative volunteers to support our Social Media and Marketing efforts. This is a great opportunity for individuals who want to use their skills to support a nonprofit mission focused on preventing sexual violence and human trafficking while empowering communities through education, advocacy, and innovation.

    The Social Media & Marketing Volunteer will help expand Defenna’s digital presence, promote programs and events, and raise awareness about issues related to safety, empowerment, and human rights to prevent sexual violence and trafficking.

    Responsibilities

    • Assist in managing Defenna’s social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other channels)
    • Create engaging content including graphics, captions, posts, and short videos
    • Help plan and schedule social media campaigns and marketing initiatives
    • Support promotion of community programs, awareness campaigns, and fundraising events such as Big Day of Giving
    • Research social media trends and strategies to increase audience engagement
    • Assist with digital newsletters and outreach communications
    • Track engagement and help evaluate social media performance

    Qualifications

    • Interest in nonprofit work, social impact, or community advocacy
    • Strong written communication skills
    • Familiarity with social media platforms (eg, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn)
    • Creative mindset with the ability to create engaging content
    • Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team
    • Experience with Canva, graphic design, video editing or content creation is a plus but not required
