Description
JerseySTEM is looking for volunteers to support our mission to provide STEM education to underrepresented middle school girls.
Help us stay connected with local middle schools. As a School Liaison, you’ll be the friendly point of contact between JerseySTEM and Public school staff helping us schedule programs and keep communication clear and easy.
Great for former teachers, school staff, or anyone who enjoys community outreach.
Your typical JerseySTEM week involves (illustrative): ~ 1 hour/day
- Daily: Check Email, Forward Email, Answer questions by Email for 15mn-30mn
- Monday: Call a school teacher who needs some information about one of the programs
- Tuesday: Have a 1:1 call with your JerseysTEM Manager to decide on work to do
- Wednesday: Check Email, Forward Email, Answer questions by Email for 30mn-hour
- Thursday: Join a meeting with the other JerseySTEM volunteers.
- Friday: Leave a voice message to a school principal about a missing document or an incoming meeting.
No Travel or in-person required, unless interested.
