    Description

For more than 30 years, AVP Colorado has helped inmates in Colorado's jails and prisons as well as holding workshops in the broader community. Through our Alternatives to Violence Project workshops, we give participants a chance to break the cycle of violence and unlock the strength each of us has to transform ourselves, and thus transform our families and community. As a member of the Board of Directors, you can help AVP Colorado develop strategies to support and grow this high impact program.

We are seeking individuals who are integrated in the community, with the skills and willingness to perform outreach and engage donors and volunteers.

Over the course of a two-year term, you can expect the following responsibilities: attend monthly board and committee meetings (via Zoom), ensure effective organizational planning, ensure adequate resources and proper financial oversight, enhance the organization's public standing, and serve on a committee.

Please contact us via email to learn more about our current board openings. Thank you for your interest!
