Fundraiser (for a Nonprofit)

OUR NATIONAL CONVERSATION is a new kind of media outlet. We're nonpartisan, we believe in truth, we're all very civil, we just want to solve problems. Republicans, Democrats, Independents -- all are welcome here.

We are largely run by student interns, and we now want "more adults in the room." We seek 3-4 volunteers with real fundraising experience. We have two excellent student fundraisers working for us now, but we need several more.

When we survey the universe, there are thousands of prospective funders we could go after. It could take years to reach them all, so the more help, the better. "Saving democracy" and "saving journalism" are hot spaces in the world of philanthropy right now. Same with civics education. We do all that.

We are a 501(c)(c) nonprofit. We are willing to pay success fees for monies raised.

Our fundraising team meets weekly via Zoom at 1 p.m. PST Thursday (4 p.m. EST). We meet for no more than an hour. That's the only mandatory meeting; everything else you can do on your own schedule.

We are virtual and use Slack, Zoom and Google Drive to communicate.

You will get outstanding experience -- plus you'll be doing something good for America. You will be helping develop America's future leaders and together we can help reduce toxic partisanship in America. You might parlay your experience here into a big job with another nonprofit. Or maybe, once we raise money, we can hire you.
