    Description

    Head of Marketing – Education & Youth Development in Ghana

    Pagus Africa (Pagus: Center for Achievement in Ghana) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering youth in Ghana through education, leadership development, and community initiatives. For nearly 20 years, we have provided mentorship, scholarships, and transformative programs that give young people the tools to succeed and become leaders in their communities.

    The Role

    We are seeking a volunteer Head of Marketing to lead and grow our communications and marketing strategy. This is a pivotal role for someone who wants to use their skills to make a global impact. Working closely with our Executive Director who will provide strategic guidance and hands-on support, you will shape how we tell our story, build awareness, and engage supporters across multiple channels.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and oversee a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with our mission and fundraising goals.
    • Lead brand positioning
    • Guide/build a small team of volunteers/interns in areas like social media, design, and content creation.
    • Manage digital campaigns (email, social media, website) to reach new audiences and strengthen donor engagement.
    • Collaborate with team in Ghana to highlight student success stories and program impact.
    • Support year-end fundraising campaigns and donor communications.

    Qualifications

    • Experience in marketing, branding, or communications (nonprofit or international development experience a plus).
    • Strong storytelling and content strategy skills.
    • Knowledge of digital platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, email marketing, Canva, etc.).
    • Ability to lead a team and work collaboratively in a virtual environment.
    • Passion for education, youth empowerment, or global development.
