    Youth & Family Engagement Board Member

    About the Role

    This is a volunteer remote role for a Youth & Family Engagement Board Member at The Healing Circle Foundation. This role will help ensure that families, children, and young people remain central to the foundation’s programs and outreach.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide guidance on youth- and family-centered programming.
    • Help identify community needs affecting children, parents, and caregivers.
    • Support outreach to schools, family-serving organizations, and youth groups.
    • Help shape safe, inclusive, and welcoming programming.
    • Contribute ideas that strengthen family involvement and engagement.

    Qualifications

    • Experience in education, youth services, family support, counseling, or related work.
    • Strong understanding of community needs and family dynamics.
    • Passion for supporting children, youth, and families.

    Required Skills

    • Communication.
    • Community awareness.
    • Collaboration.
    • Program support.

    Preferred Skills

    • Experience working with youth or families.
    • School or parent engagement experience.
    • Cultural sensitivity.
    • Outreach experience.
    • Bilingual (Preferred but Not Required)

    Fluency in a second language (in addition to English) is a plus, particularly in languages spoken in the communities you’ll be serving.
