Divine Solutions for Life, Inc. is seeking a Volunteer Attorney to provide pro bono legal support in reviewing and strengthening key program documents for our Mental Health Voucher Program. This program is designed to increase access to counseling services for individuals who are uninsured, underinsured, or facing financial hardship by partnering with licensed therapists and community organizations.
We are looking for an attorney who is passionate about expanding access to mental health care and can help ensure our documents are clear, compliant, and aligned with best practices.
Responsibilities
- Review and provide recommendations on program-related documents, including:
- Client Voucher Application
- Provider (Therapist/Partner Organization) Agreement
- Client Acknowledgment Form
- Client Satisfaction Survey
- Identify potential legal risks and recommend revisions to strengthen clarity, liability protection, and compliance
- Ensure documents align with applicable laws and ethical standards (e.g., healthcare, nonprofit operations, client rights)
- Provide guidance on best practices for structuring agreements between the nonprofit, providers, and clients
- Offer general legal insight as needed to support the integrity and sustainability of the voucher program
Qualifications
- Licensed attorney in good standing (Georgia preferred, but not required)
- Experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Nonprofit law
- Healthcare or mental health law
- Contract law
- Familiarity with liability considerations and client-facing documentation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate recommendations clearly
- Interest in supporting mental health access and community-based initiatives
