Description
The position of Dock Assistant has been created to support the Donation Center. All merchandise in the St. Vincent de Paul Northern Kentucky thrift stores are donated items from our Northern Kentucky community. Revenue from the sale of donated items benefits the programs and services we offer, assisting over 56,000 neighbors annually with basic emergency needs – rent, utilities, clothing, furniture, homegoods, fans/air conditioning, food, and holiday assistance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet donors at the dock drive-through
- Assist donors with getting donations out of their vehicles and placing them on the dock or in the appropriate bins as instructed
- Thank donors for their donations
- Assist with the pre-sorting of donated items
- Load unsellable items into the baler, following safety instructions
- Assist with the pairing and binding of shoes
