    About Us

VET Global Impact (Veterans for Empowerment and Transformation) is a veteran-led nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering service members, veterans, and their families. Our mission is to address the critical challenges they face during and after military service, with a strong focus on mental health support, suicide prevention, education, workforce development, and family reintegration.

Through our community-driven programs, we ensure that those who served our nation—and their families—have access to the resources, opportunities, and support they need to thrive. By investing in their well-being and future, we strengthen families, communities, and society as a whole.

    Position Overview

We are seeking three passionate and experienced volunteer English instructors to teach English as a Second Language (ESL) classes online to military service members, veterans, and their families.

Many members of our military community come from diverse backgrounds where English is not their first language, which can create communication and integration challenges. This program aims to bridge that gap—helping families improve their English proficiency, build confidence, expand their community networks, and foster meaningful friendships.

As a volunteer instructor, you’ll play a key role in helping these families connect, communicate, and grow—both personally and professionally.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Deliver engaging online ESL lessons focused on practical communication and cultural integration.
    • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for adult learners.
    • Encourage participation, confidence, and continuous improvement.
    • Provide constructive feedback and progress updates to students.
    • Collaborate with other volunteer instructors and program coordinators.
    • Occasionally participate in community events or in-person activities hosted by the nonprofit.

    Qualifications

    • Must be 18 years or older.
    • Excellent command of English (spoken, written, and reading).
    • Previous experience in online teaching, tutoring, or ESL instruction preferred.
    • Access to a computer and reliable internet connection.
    • Strong time management, punctuality, and organizational skills.
    • Patient, empathetic, and motivated to help others succeed.
    • Passionate about teaching and community service.

    Schedule

    • Classes: Two sessions per week (Monday and Wednesday)
    • Time: 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM (Central Time)
    • Schedule may be adjusted as needed.
    • Instructors will coordinate to ensure class coverage and consistency.

    Why Volunteer With Us

    • Make a meaningful impact in the lives of military families.
    • Gain valuable teaching and leadership experience.
    • Join a supportive veteran-led team committed to service and community empowerment.
    • Contribute to a mission that honors those who served our nation.
