This volunteer position is the first person a guest will encounter when visiting the Broward County Animal Care and Adoption Admissions area. Admissions/Redemptions Lobby Greeters help the Customer Service staff in the lobby by greeting and welcoming visitors to the shelter and asking how we can assist them. The main services provided at the admissions lobby are turning in stray pets, reuniting owners with lost pets, surrendering owned pets by appointment and requesting euthanasia for owned pets that are suffering. This volunteer will be the first to provide information about shelter policies and resources, as well as matching resources to the needs of the citizens as available. This volunteer will also log visitor information and have guests fill out proper paperwork prior to giving it to the Customer Service Representative. This volunteer is also expected to manage the lobby by directing visitor traffic and ensuring that customers are assisted by staff in an orderly fashion. They are to keep their station clean and well stocked as well as help to answer questions.
