    PA MEDI Description

    What do PA MEDI Counselors do?

    PA MEDI Counselors help consumers navigate the complex Medicare system and prescription drug coverage. They conduct Community Education presentations. They engage in Community Outreach Events.

    PA MEDI Volunteers credentials:

    PA MEDI Counselors are certified by the Department of Aging. They are qualified and trained to help consumers understand health coverage options.

    When are these Services Available?

    PA MEDI services are offered year-round, and scheduled appointments are available either by telephone or in person.

    PA MEDI Can Help Consumers Determine if They Can Save Money.

    Counselors provide information concerning potential ways to save on Health Care Costs. Counselors explore ways to save on Prescription Drug Costs. Counselors will compare Health insurance plan options as well as explore ways to help consumers save on other expenses.

    When is the Open Enrollment Period?

    Open Enrollment is from October 15 to December 7 of each year. All Medicare Beneficiaries can make changes to their plans during this time. Our counselors put in lots of extra time to help as many beneficiaries as possible before the deadline for changes (Dec 7).
