    Description

Abbey Hospice is looking for caring individuals who are willing to visit with patients in various settings, including nursing homes, assisted living facilites, and in patients' homes.

When patients become home-bound it can be a challenge to take care of what we often consider "basic" personal care, such as cutting or styling hair. As a volunteer beautician, you could make a difference in the lives of patients and families by making them feel more like themselves again. When little in your life is under your control, knowing that you can still look and feel like yourself can be a great relief.

As a hospice volunteer you will make a difference in people's lives, while heightening you own sense of values and helping you focus on those things that matter most in life.

There is no set amount of time to volunteer. It''s on your schedule, whenever you're available. Please consider donating as little as an hour a week to help someone in their time of need.
