    Description

Climate Café GNV is seeking a dedicated volunteer grant writer who wants to put their skills toward meaningful, place-based climate impact. Your work will directly support programs that foster climate resilience, emotional well-being, and community connection during a time of profound environmental change.

Climate Café GNV creates facilitated spaces for people to process climate emotions, build resilience, and strengthen community bonds. As we grow, we’re looking for support to build sustainable funding that allows this work to deepen and expand.

    What You'll Do

    • Research and identify relevant grant opportunities
    • Write and edit proposals from start to finish
    • Collaborate with our team on budgets, narratives, and documentation
    • Help develop an internal grant library and long-term funding systems for cc.gnv

    Logistics

This is a virtual, flexible, ongoing opportunity. You work on your schedule as long as agreed-upon deadlines are met. Ideally you can make a commitment of 3+ months.

    You are

    • A strong writer and critical thinker who enjoys research and storytelling.
    • Detail-oriented and capable of turning complex program data into compelling narratives.
    • Comfortable working independently while collaborating virtually with a passionate team.
    • Experienced in nonprofit writing, grant research, or academic writing (preferred but not required).

    Requirements

    • 1–2 page professional or academic writing sample
    • Pass a background check
    • Onboarding meeting with our director
    • Consistent access to a computer and internet connection

    What You’ll Receive

✔ Gain real-world nonprofit development experience.

✔ Grant writing samples for your portfolio

    ✔ Public recognition (optional)

✔ Contribute to significant community impact in climate resilience and mental health

✔ Letter of recommendation and volunteer service hours available upon request

If you’re excited about turning strong narratives into real dollars, and helping communities face the climate crisis with care and connection, we’d love to hear from you.
